Why Rasp Spurs?
The high carbon content of a farrier rasp makes it incredibly strong yet brittle, unless you anneal it just right. once you do you have a high quality steel that will outlast anything on the market!
Spur Facts
The true origin of the spur is still unclear but they believe the "roweled" spur originated in France in 1207!
Why our Rowels
Our Rowels are custom made and show our attention to detail, as every rowel rivet hole is only a 1/64 of any inch larger in diameter than the rivets we use! Which allows the rowel to flow freely with minimum slop.
The Man behind the moustache
This is Caleb Boyd and his wife Gralyn. He is creator and owner of Cowboyd Customs. All spurs are hand built by him and all have a personal touch.
